Personal Summary

I am currently a Lecturer at the UCL Social Research Institute where I teach on the highly competitive Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in the Social Sciences, with particular focus on Sociology and Politics (since 2018). I am also a Research Associate at LSE IDEAS (LSE's foreign policy think-tank) engaged on the Visions of Europe study that maps, tracks, and monitors developments in European civil society in order to inform the EU’s Conference on the Future of Europe (since 2019). I have also been working as a freelance researcher for a number of think-tanks studying migration and the impact of Brexit in the UK (since 2013). Prior to that, I was employed as a Communications Manager and Research Officer at the LSE European Institute (2015-2021) implementing their Programme on Brexit, and a Project Manager at a marketing agency delivering sustainable energy solutions. I have also taught on several Social Sciences, Politics, and International Relations courses at LSE as a Guest Teacher between 2011 and 2018. I was enrolled in a PhD programme at LSE between 2010 and 2015. I would particularly highlight 4 key areas from my professional background:

Expertise: my knowledge of national and supranational politics and global policy developments; sociological literature and research methods in the social sciences; environmental and social governance

Capability: my track-record of rigorous academic and evidence-based policy and advocacy research; university-level teaching; copy-editing; delivery of strategies; supervision and motivation of research assistants; speeches at international conferences and panels; media appearances; marketing

Network: my extensive professional network encompassing decisionmakers, policymakers, non-governmental organisations, journalists, and academic stakeholders across Europe and the US

Global outlook: my tertiary schooling in the United States and the United Kingdom; work experience encompassing European (particularly EU, British, and Polish) politics, policymaking, and regulation; British & Polish (EU) citizenship
