The EPA Dublin Laboratory is seeking tenders for an automated instrument to perform routine analysis of the specified parameters in environmental water samples in support of the EPA’s Water Framework Directive and other monitoring requirements. These waters can include surface waters (river, lake, estuarine), groundwaters and waste waters and industrial effluents.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hereby invites interested parties to submit applications, by way of open-competition, for appointment to the National Panel of Approved Assessors under the Solvents and Decorative Paint Regulations. This Notice specifies the services to be carried out and the details that must be included within the submissions, to enable the EPA to assess the suitability or otherwise of applicants for appointment to the National Panel. The Agency is not purchasing goods or services. The purpose of this notice is to appoint approved assessors to the national panel of approved assessors.

The EPA is responsible for a range of chemical market surveillance requirements including the REACH and Persistent Organic Pollutants Regulation (POPs) Regulations and the Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) Directive. It is also responsible for taking the appropriate enforcement measures in cases where the results of market surveillance activities indicate that a product poses a risk to the environment. In 2025, the EPA will initiate planned market surveillance activities including the participation in EU co-ordinated market surveillance campaigns which will target product testing to identify non-compliance of non-food consumer products that have been placed or made available on the Irish market.
