West of England Combined Authority

The MCA needs to understand better the role that MCA-led sector development activities can play in the success and growth of the LGP Priority and Key Sectors because they are significant levers for delivery of the West of England Strategic Framework and the LGP itself. What works, how does it work, and what are the opportunities for and barriers to effective sector development activity in the West of England that have not yet been deployed or overcome? This will then help the MCA to clearly identify and structure the Economy & Skills Directorate's sector development and inward investment activities and inform the strategic/economic case within a forthcoming business case to establish a redesigned sector development service. The MCA wishes to commission expert(s) with demonstrable knowledge of our LGP Priority and Key Sectors and experience in sector development/support.
