I am an Economic and Social Research Council funded research fellow at LSE's Department of Media and Communications. My background is in anthropology, digital ethnography and user research, across academia and industry. I hold a PhD from King’s College London, in the department of Culture, Media, and Creative Industries and am confident working with a variety of stakeholders, and research communities, as well as managing projects from research design through to synthesis. I have disseminated research in a variety of formats - both through presentations, videos, and by drafting detailed research reports. I have native level German and English proficiency.
Recently I worked on a project with Word on the Curb and Google, focusing on Millennial and Gen-Z experiences of AI in Berlin. Due to the short turnaround ahead of Google I/O 23 the project was conducted in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, dealing with tight deadlines and last-minute amends. I moderated focus groups in German, worked to synthesise qualitative data at pace and collaborated with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate research insights.
Furthermore, as a researcher at King's College London, I successfully managed research projects from inception to publication, securing substantial grants and funding for these studies. I specialise in qualitative research and conducted a 13-month ethnographic study (incorporating 80+ interviews) on dating app users and social media in Berlin, which provided me with valuable insights into user behaviour and digital platforms.
In addition to my research expertise, as a videographer working with clients including the British Film Institute and Ericsson, I have had the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, conducting interviews with renowned talent and delivering engaging video content. My creative insight, ability to communicate complex ideas concisely, and direct projects has been pivotal in these roles.
I have disseminated research in a variety of formats - both through presentations, videos, and by drafting detailed research reports. I have native level German and English proficiency.
