Undertook a quantitative research project for the Economics department to elucidate firm- and industry-level characteristics associated with employment growth and high wages in Croatia and Latvia
Critically engaged with existing literature on the topic to identify gaps and provide alternative methods
Collected, cleaned and processed firm-level panel data using Orbis database and Stata as well as performed a descriptive and econometric analysis of the data
Presented a final report titled ‘An empirical study of employment dynamics in Croatia and Latvia’, which included recommendations for the EBRD to (re)evaluate its investment strategy, and which was described by the EBRD as having surpassed all their expectations
Assisted senior economists at the Center for Central Banking Studies, which delivers expert advice to other central banks issuing guidance into best-practice monetary and financial policy
Investigated the co-movement between unemployment and house prices in the UK as well as the Bank’s credibility in the British media in collaboration with academics
Retrieved raw data from Orbis and Datastream and manipulated it using Stata when working on research projects and on the content of expert guidance seminars
