Personal Summary

Martin Lodge has been member of the Department of Government since 2002 and is currently Co-Director of the Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation (carr). Professor Lodge was also a member of the TransCrisis research consortium, a Horizon2020 project on transboundary crisis management capacities. This three-year project was hosted by carr. He is currently coordinating a Norface-funded project 'ReConnect' that investigates ways in which European administrative states have sought to re-connect with their citizens.

In addition, he has been editor of Public Administration, founding member of the Political Studies Association’s specialist group on Executive Politics & Governance, and is currently co-editor of the Palgrave book series of the same name, and is co-chairperson of the IPSA Research Committee on the ‘Structure and Organisation of Government’.
