Procurement of research services into the application of the Prosecutor's Code in decision making
Crown Prosecution Service
This workstream and the research carried out will explore and provide greater understanding of the way that prosecutors enact the Prosecutor's Code and supporting guidance when determining whether to charge a suspect, and in particular the extent to which this facilitates consistency in decision making. There is a need to explore the way in which prosecutors apply the Code and associated guidance, with a view to ensuring that that CPS has taken all reasonable steps to reduce disproportionality in decision making and is addressing its Public Sector Equality Duty.

National Safeguarding Adults Reviews Analysis 2019-2023
Local Government Association
Partners In Care & Health (PCH) are commissioning a second national analysis of Safeguarding Adults Reviews April 2019-March 2023. The findings can inform sector-led improvement in safeguarding adults in England. The analysis will build on the solid foundation of the previously commissioned report Safeguarding Adult Reviews: April 2017-March 2019. Analyses focused on specific types of abuse and neglect, filling a significant gap in the knowledge base about adult safeguarding across all types of abuse and neglect.

Evaluation of Trussell Trust’s financial inclusion services
The Trussell Trust
At the Trussell Trust, we support a UK-wide network of over 1,300 food bank centres. Together we provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. In Autumn 2020, we launched the Financial Inclusion funding programme, offering food banks across the network up to £45,000 per year to support food bank users with advice on money issues (and other issues). While we currently collect some data on the services through grant reports, we need to build on this, in order to: • provide robust data about the difference the programme is making • understand where improvements could be made • support policy influencing activity in this area We are looking for an experienced researcher or research team to partner with us to undertake an evaluation of the services to help us understand the impact, strengths and limitations of the services provided.

Behavioural Insights research across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Cambridgeshire County Council
In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, there are large numbers of adults and children who are living in poor health due to, in part, modifiable risk factors. This has been exacerbated over the COVID-19 pandemic and covers a wide range of factors such as poor diet/obesity, smoking, harmful alcohol consumption, and vaccination/immunisation uptake for preventable diseases. These factors tend to be more prevalent in less affluent areas leading to a further widening of health inequalities. It is systemic variations in wider determinants of health, such as environmental factors (e.g., living without easy access to fresh food, few green spaces for physical activity, and high volume of junk food advertising) that supports inequalities and leaves an individual’s health outcomes out of their control (1–3). Almost half of the burden of disease in developed countries is attributable to modifiable risk factors such as smoking, harmful alcohol consumption, poor diet, and physical...
