Description

The Met Office wishes to establish a Consultant Roster Framework through which engagements with a spend of up to and including, £100,000.00 (GBP), can be procured from one or more consultants, whether individuals or organisations. The Consultant Roster Framework, once established, will provide the Met Office with the means by which to access and request external technical support from consultants with significant local knowledge and experience, and which will be supplementary to Met Office activities, but needed to support the delivery of WISER from within East, West and Southern Africa and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.
 
The different areas of external technical support the Met Office are seeking supplementary support for:
 
Lot 1 - Science Services Support:
  • Operational Meterology
  • Applied meteorology and applied climate science - Bringing weather and climate science into use
  • Data management
  • Meteorological observations and management of meteorological observations networks
  • Information and Communications Technology
  • Product and Service Development and Delivery
  • Weather and Climate Modelling
 
Lot 2 - Thematic Project Support:
  • Community engagement, Coproduction, Communication and Uptake
  • Gender, Equity and Inclusion (GESI) including disability
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), including Socio-Economic benefits analysis
  • Knowledge management and applied learning (KMAL)
  • Value for Money (VfM)
 
Lot 3 - Institutional and Policy Support and Organisational Management:
  • Weather and climate funding and financing
  • Policy, institutional and economic analysis
  • Strategic and organisational planning, change management
  • Marketing / Product & Service Development
 
Lot 4 - Communication Support
  • Conferencing and webinar organisation, including facilitation
  • Videography
  • Copywriting
  • Printing Services
  • Auditing and controlling services
