Increased attention to art as a business has created a need for more knowledge on the extent and economic value of the different cultural industries in Norway. The reason for the establishment of the 'Art in Numbers' statistics is the need for increased knowledge on income in the different art areas and how these evolve over time. The objective of the agreement requires long-term perspectives, in order to ensure the quality of the methodology and its results. The extent of the framework agreement is, therefore, considered above, for 4 (four) years, with an option to extend the contract for a further 2 (two) years, 1 (one) year at a time.
