OfS is looking to commission as supplier to collect reliable and validated prevalence data on the nature and extent of sexual misconduct affecting students. This will inform OfS’ understanding of the sector’s response to the new condition of registration we are developing. We will be consulting on this proposed provider-level regulation in early 2023. A pilot survey is important for testing a questionnaire, survey methodology and feasibility; the outcome of this pilot will inform decisions on whether the OfS conducts future surveys and links the data they produce with proposed provider-level regulation in harassment and sexual misconduct. Research Aims: Develop an approach to managing a national provider level student sexual misconduct prevalence survey.
