Research to understand the levels of public investment in museums since 2015 and the associated impact
Arts Council England
ACE are seeking to appoint a contractor to conduct a research project to understand the levels of public investment in museums since 2015 and the associated impact. We need to understand which approaches are working within the sector, and what are not. We will share this knowledge where we can and make targeted interventions where appropriate. We want to build up a picture of the past and current financial landscapes of museums to inform future model funding scenarios, and gather intelligence about what the current and future risks for museums’ sustainability might be. This work will align with the Arts Council’s broader analysis of local government investment in arts and culture.
